DIVING
He will organize the diving operations in groups of up to five divers per guide, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that our guests experience the best possible dive. Before each dive he’ll give a full briefing covering dive type, suggested depths and likely marine life along with other relevant site information. Every day, we will offer as many dives as is safely possible within standard no-decompression limits – typically one or two morning dives, an afternoon dive and a dive at dusk or night.

PADI ReActivate™ including Digital Pack
This course is recommended to guests who haven’t been diving for 12 months plus and want a quick scuba refresher? This program is the best way to update your dive skills and knowledge from your open water course before joining a regular dive with other divers. Guests who complete both the knowledge review and the one in-water skill refresher dive will receive a replacement certification card with a ReActivate™ date on it. In the water, our instructor will help you regain your comfort and confidence in scuba diving. You’ll practice a few safety-related skills.
Requirement: a valid scuba diver license, guests should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (minimum 1 day)
PADI Discover Scuba Diver
If you have ever wanted to just try scuba diving or are unsure if you will like scuba diving. Then this is the perfect course for you. This simple short course gives you want you want. Some basic theory and skills in shallow water to understand about the underwater environment and be in constant close contact with a dive professional during your one dive, you are sure to have a great time.
Requirement: guests should be in reasonable physical health and at least 10 y.o. (minimum 1 day)
PADI Scuba Diver Course
This course is for guests who want a quick dive course with two dives to a max of 12m with a certificate.
Requirement: guests should have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o.(minimum 2 days)
PADI Open Water Diver
On this course guests that have always wanted to take scuba diving lessons and get a dive license and experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves on four dives, this is where it starts. The Open Water course is the level where you can join other divers and see most of the wonderful marine environment.
Requirement: guests should have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (minimum 4 days)
PADI Upgrade to Open Water Diver or Referral
This course is for guests who have either not finished their Open Water course somewhere else or for some reason cannot finish their course onboard Manta Mae, our instructors will either restart your course where you left off or will teach you as much as they can in the time available and then refer you on to another instructor at a later date. Please note that the Scuba Review is also great for non-certified divers who are referred to complete training.
Requirement: guests should have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (1-3 days)
PADI Adventure Diver
Three logged dives. Here guests can try out three types of specialty types of diving, our instructors highly recommend that guests do the night and dive deep dives with the peak performance dive but it is the guest’s choice. These dives are countable towards the guest Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
Requirement: Guests should hold a valid open water diver license. Guests should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (1-2 days)
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
With five logged dives this course will help guests build confidence and expand your scuba skills through five different Adventure Dives. Guests must do the deep and navigation dives but can choose the three dives (at the instructor’s concession) and will log dives and develop capabilities.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid open water diver license, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 12 y.o. (minimum 2 days)
PADI Nitrox Diver
With two logged dives guests can do what is presently the most popular course in the diving world. Scuba diving with nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives and as a big bonus divers feel less tired between dives. So if staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver. Includes two logged dives.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid open water diver license, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 12 y.o. (minimum 1 day)
PADI Underwater Navigation Diver
During three logged dives guests can learn techniques which dive guides use to navigate underwater by fine tuning your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid open water diver license, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (minimum 1 day)
PADI Boat Diver
Includes two logged dives. Indonesia has some of the most amazing dive sites in the world and 95% can only be accessed by boat. Scuba diving from a boat is fun and relatively easy because you usually descend directly onto your dive site.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid open water diver license, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 10 y.o. (minimum 1 day)
PADI Deep Diver
Includes four logged dives. If guests want to go deeper this is the course for you. There’s something exciting and mysterious about exploring deeper dive sites. Sometimes it is a wall dive that attracts us to go deeper and see those huge sponges and fan corals. Whatever it is that attracts you go deeper the Deep Diver course helps you do it with more with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130 feet, you should take the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid Adventure Diver rating or higher, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 15 y.o. (minimum 2 days)
PADI Night Diver
During three logged night dives, guests will experience a whole new world, whatever your experience is the night dive specialty will let you see the wonderful nocturnal organisms that only emerge after sunset.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid Adventure Diver rating or higher, should also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health and at least 12 y.o.(minimum 3 nights)
PADI Scuba Review
You’ll go over important dive safety concepts, dive planning essentials and problem management. Your PADI Professional will have you practice putting your gear together and doing a predive safety check with your buddy. On the one logged dive, you’ll review all the basic scuba skills with a focus on good buoyancy control.
Requirement: at least 10 y.o (minimum 1 day)
PADI Rescue Diver
Guests willlearn to prevent and manage problems both underwater and on the surface. During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature and gain three logged dives.
Requirement: guests should hold a valid Adventure Diver rating or higherand will need to show they have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months, theyshould also have adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health, have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and at least 12 y.o. (minimum 3 days)
